Changes to waste & recycling rounds: you’ll need to put everything out by 6am

Some residents were surprised by how early waste collections were in Hunts Grove last week. This announcement from Stroud District Council explains more.

Make sure your waste and recycling is put out by 6am Stroud District Council’s Community Services team is reminding residents.

A new collection round is being introduced to cater for the growth in properties across the district. While this won’t affect the day that collections are made on, it does mean that some existing collection times may change, with some now being collected earlier in the morning.

Putting your waste and recycling out by 6am will ensure there is no disruption to your service.

    1. As far as we are aware, there are no rules in Stroud District. Some authorities levy a fine if a bin is not taken from the collection point, however not in Stroud. The general council guidance is copied below. Any questions should be sent to: 01453 754424 or [email protected]

Most councils take a strict stance on leaving bins on the kerb once they’ve been emptied because it poses a risk of obstruction and use in anti-social behaviour. If your bin is stolen, lost or vandalised, you’ll have to pay for a new one, so residents are advised to safely store them.
